Through a friend (thanks Sara) we were introduced to Rico, a German-speaking surf instructor with his own surf school in Peniche/Baleal. Absolutely uncomplicated coordination of the modalities through a casual phone call and Whattsapp, the children were able to see whether they liked it and for how long and that was exactly what was billed, fair conditions and super nice instructors who were attentive to the children. The kids were excited every day and were able to take their first steps on the surfboard. They thought the surf instructors were great and always responded to their needs. That was a great movie, the kids thought Rico and his crew were great, children happy, parents happy, we will definitely use the services again, unreserved recommendation, it couldn't be better. Of course, Rico also has materials and everything else, a complete feel-good range. Thanks for the great hours.

I can only agree with the other reviews here. My three children had their first surfing lessons ever at Rico’s surf school “Surf Taxi”. Rico and all the staff were super friendly and relaxed and gave the kids excellent guidance. The whole process was very well organized. The price-performance ratio is also absolutely fine. The children had a lot of fun. Therefore 5*!

I think Rico has amazing personal skills, love for people and teaching , and a real passion for surfing. The combination of the 3 makes the surfing experience absolutely amazing. I’ve been surfing for 6 days in different places with different teachers the wrong way and 5 min next to Rico corrected one important thing I was doing wrong, so I caught the wave straight away. It also made me love surfing for the rest of my life.I am definitely coming back, Rico. My fav. teacher!

As an experienced surfer, I needed a surf guide to show me the surf spots and explain to me how every break works before hitting the water. Rico was punctual, responsive, very knowledgeable, and took me to Peniche’s best surf spots giving me a great overview in no time. Often as advanced surfers, we don’t need a lesson but rather a local professional who can give us all the tips to make a surf trip unforgettable. Rico just perfectly did that. 🤙🏼

We had a course for 5 days and it was great! We learned so much, theoretically and above all practically. The progress has been tremendous! In the end, Rico had more faith in us than we did in ourselves (and he was right). We cannot recommend him enough. We were in a group and yet you had the feeling that his eyes were everywhere and he kept giving tips that led to improvements. We would book a course here again at any time!
